Swindon Borough Council have announced they will be installing new cycle parking spaces across the town thanks to funding from the government.
It is understood the new spaces will a mixture of on-street cycle parking and residential cycle hangars.
If you know of an area where new cycle parking is needed the council are looking for your input.
A council spokesperson saying: ‘If you know of a location that could benefit from cycle stands, let us know by the end of February.’
Local businesses, community or charitable organisations are also reminded they can also apply for free stands to be installed on your land in conjunction with lifecycleuk.org.uk.
Life Cycle UK provide free, secure cycle stands thanks to funding from Swindon Borough Council.
Each application can be for a maximum of 4 stands.
Who can apply?
- Small, local businesses such as independent shops, pubs, and dental surgeries.
- Private landlords who want to protect their property interior from bike marks and scuffing.
- Voluntary sector and community organisations such as charities or places of worship.
