Families looking for something to keep the children entertained during the final days of the summer holidays can take part in a series of free hands-on activities at venues across Swindon.
The Curiousity and Creativity sessions are offering children the chance to get stuck into crafts, experiments, building activities and other creative challenges, with no charge and no need to book.
The drop-in sessions are aimed at children who enjoy making things, trying out something different or simply keeping their hands and minds busy during the school holidays.
Sessions will be held at libraries and community venues across the town, giving families several opportunities to join in.
The programme is:
- Tuesday, 25 August, 1pm–4pm: Penhill Library
- Wednesday, 26 August, 1pm–4pm: The Hub @ Toothill
- Thursday, 27 August, 1pm–4pm: Moredon & Rodbourne Cheney Library
- Friday, 28 August, 1pm–4pm: The Hub @ Toothill
- Saturday, 29 August, 9am–12pm: Pinetrees Library
- Monday, 31 August, 1pm–4pm: The Hub @ Toothill
There is no need to book in advance. Families can simply turn up and stay for ten minutes or spend the whole session getting involved in the activities.
With the summer holidays drawing to a close, the sessions offer a free and informal way for families to spend some time together while encouraging children to experiment, create and discover something new.
