Yesterday afternoon, four individuals were arrested in Swindon following reports of a disorder.
Police responded to a call on Chickerall Road shortly after 4 pm, indicating a disturbance involving individuals armed with weapons.
Upon arrival, officers conducted thorough investigations that led to the search of an address in Buckhurst Crescent later that night. The search resulted in the confiscation of class-A drugs, cash, and weapons.
Four males, including a 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy, a 19-year-old man, and a 42-year-old man, were arrested for various offences, including affray and possession with intent to supply class A drugs. All four individuals are currently in custody at Gablecross for questioning.
Detective Chief Inspector Joe Saunders commented, “This incident happened at 4 pm in the afternoon and was witnessed by members of the public.
“This is totally unacceptable behaviour, and in line with the Chief Constable’s Force Priorities, we are absolutely committed to creating safer public spaces within our communities. We will not tolerate violent behaviour of this kind which causes others to feel intimidated or scared in their own neighbourhood.”
