Swindon is set to welcome the return of the enchanting Enchanted Gardens Light Trail, a magical experience that will transform the historic Town Gardens into a dazzling winter wonderland. Running from Friday, 29th November to Tuesday, 24th December 2024, this event, organised by South Swindon Parish Council, promises to delight visitors of all ages.
This year’s trail is longer and more spectacular than ever, featuring a host of brand-new illuminations that will create a breathtaking spectacle of light and colour. Attendees will be taken on an immersive journey through the gardens, showcasing stunning light installations designed by Luminism, a renowned branch of YES Events, known for their captivating light displays.
The Enchanted Gardens Light Trail has partnered with Brighter Futures, a charity dedicated to supporting the Great Western Hospital. Volunteers from Brighter Futures will be present on selected dates, selling event merchandise, festive craft items, and winter raffle tickets. They will also be managing car parking at Commonweal School, with all donations collected benefiting the charity. The funds raised will contribute to the urgent and emergency care expansion, which forms part of the Way Forward Programme.
At the heart of the event, the iconic bandstand will feature a vibrant food and beverage area, offering a variety of delights, including a bar, hot drinks, sweet treats, and bratwurst. Additionally, local music acts and school choirs will perform on the bandstand, creating a festive atmosphere for all attendees. This area is sponsored by Gel Studios, a local creative agency responsible for this year’s marketing materials. Other sponsors include African Star Tours, TECC Ltd, The Wyvern Theatre, Deacons, Town Gardens Bowls Club, and South Swindon in Bloom.
