Calling all young photography enthusiasts aged 16-25!
An exciting opportunity awaits you as Prime Theatre and Historic England present a FREE Architectural Photography Workshop led by the Head Photographer at Historic England.
As part of the celebrated Heritage Open Days, Historic England will be opening its doors to young photographers in the age group of 16-25 for a workshop designed to delve into the art of architectural photography, explore the essence of buildings and places, and uncover the hidden treasures right on your doorstep.
The event will be taking place on Saturday, 9th September, from 11 AM to 4 PM, at the Historic England HQ, located at The Engine House, Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon, SN2 2EH (near the STEAM Museum).
This workshop offers a captivating journey into the world of architectural photography, where you’ll learn to view Swindon through a fresh lens and capture its beauty in ways you’ve never imagined.
Leading the workshop is the photographer, James O. Davies, who boasts an impressive career in the field of photography. James will kickstart the day by introducing himself, sharing insights into his remarkable journey in photography, and showcasing some of his work that has graced publications worldwide. It’s a unique opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge from a seasoned professional.
All you need to bring is a camera. Don’t fret if you don’t own a dedicated camera; a smartphone or tablet with a good camera will suffice. Ensure you wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for any walking involved during the workshop. And of course, there’s a lunch break scheduled, some lunch to help you refuel and recharge for more photography adventures.
