A man in his 40s has suffered potentially life-changing injuries following a collision on a Swindon cycle path involving a motorbike.
The incident occurred on Saturday, 2nd December, at approximately 1:30 pm along the cycle path on the Great Western Way, outside the B&Q store. The cyclist was struck by a motorcycle and thrown from his bike, sustaining severe injuries in the process. Two members of the public stopped to assist at the scene, with one taking the injured man to hospital.
The motorcyclist involved failed to stop and fled the scene.
Witnesses have described the individual as wearing a balaclava, a dark top, and blue tracksuit bottoms, notably without a helmet. The motorcycle has been identified as a blue and gold dirt bike.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident, has relevant dashcam footage, or has knowledge of someone owning a bike fitting the description to come forward.
