Rumours of Cineworld closing its Regent Circus branch have been dismissed by the company but there is more bad news for the town centre development as yet another restaurant closes its doors.
A spokeswoman for the cinema chain stating “We can confirm that the cinema is not closing” after we approached them with reader worries due to not being able to pre-book tickets past next week.
Coal Grill and Bar however have announced they have closed Swindon alongside other locations due to a company restructure.
“The Coal Grill and Bar restaurant group is going through a company restructure in order to protect as many jobs as possible by continuing to trade in a challenging economic climate.
“Unfortunately there are some restaurants where we have been unable to secure the trading terms which would allow us to continue operating.”
This is now the third restaurant to close following the opening of the site with Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Tiffins and now Coal closing its doors.
