Child left needing stitches after West Swindon dog attack

Police are appealing for witnesses after a young boy was left needing stitches after being attacked by a dog being walked near Tregoze School yesterday evening.

At around 6.40pm a boy was set on whilst cycling home by a dog being walked on a leash along with three others leaving the young boy needing treatment at the Great Western Hospital.

It I understood the female walking the dogs left the area after the attack and a passer by raised the alarm.

A police spokesperson confirmed “we are investigating and appealing for witnesses, if anyone saw anything suspicious in this area around 6.40pm yesterday please contact us via 101 or you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
