After an accomplished three-year tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of The Park Academies Trust (TPAT), Benedick Ashmore-Short has regrettably announced his departure at the end of this year to embark on a new role within another consortium of schools.
As the CEO, Benedick has played a pivotal role in steering the growth of the Trust, which now proudly encompasses six schools, including the recent additions of Bridlewood, a new primary school, and Highworth Warneford, a new secondary school, both joining TPAT in the past year.
In his heartfelt communication to the staff, Benedick commended the unwavering dedication of teachers whose commitment to high standards and professionalism has resulted in an impressive array of exam results this summer. He also expressed gratitude to parents, carers, and families who extend their support not only to the students but also to the schools and all their staff.
While Benedick bids farewell with a heavy heart, he leaves the Trust in capable hands, as Deputy CEO James Nicholson assumes the role during the interim period, and the recruitment process for a permanent replacement has already been set in motion. The appointment of a new CEO is anticipated in the coming year.
Reflecting on his time at TPAT, Benedick Ashmore-Short remarked, “It’s been a real privilege to work with all the dedicated and professional staff at our schools but the highlight has been to see all the hard work pay off; with our pupils, their families and our local community seeing the benefits.
“We’ve seen much improved Ofsted ratings and impressive exam results which open even more opportunities for our young people. I’m very sad to be leaving, I’ll miss all the staff and pupils but I’m incredibly proud of what we have all achieved together and I’m certain the Trust will continue to go from strength to strength.”
