The newest High Street bank to launch in the UK for more than 100 years is planning to open a new Swindon branch as part of it’s southern expansion plans.
Metro Bank opened its first branch in Holborn in London back in 2010 the bank has gone from strength to strength with its emphasis on good customer service, including opening seven days a week and having longer days than the standard bank.
If plans are approved the bank will find its new home in the ever-empty units previously occupied by The Works in Regent Street and the old mobile phone repair unit in The Parade.
The bank promises to let people open a full account with debit and credit cards in just 15 minutes and its branches will be open every day, including Sundays, apart from four public holidays a year.
