Swindon has been handed a jobs boost with the news that retailer Wilko is poised to open a large store at the Greenbridge Retail Park creating more than 50 jobs.
The value home and garden retailer have just been granted planning permission to revamp the unit which became available in the prime shopping and leisure complex following the recent closure of shoe retailer Brantano.
Until now shoppers wanting to grab a bargain at Wilko, previously called Wilkinsons had to head in to Swindon Town Centre.
The firm started life with a single hardware store in 1930 by J K Wilkinson, but has grown to become a leading high street name, with more than 390 stores across the UK.
It is not yet known when the store is expected to open but to check out the latest vacancies and apply for a position head to wilko.jobs
