Mike’s drive for this monumental challenge isn’t just personal; it’s philanthropic. With every pull, he aims to raise £12,000 in support of Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a cause close to his heart. It’s a tribute to the life-saving service that sprang into action when Mike faced his own mortality.

This isn’t Mike’s first venture into the realm of extreme fundraising. Inspired by his brush with death, he’s embarked on a series of daring exploits, from abseiling down Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower to now preparing for this ultimate test of strength and endurance.

The official record attempt is pending, but Mike isn’t waiting idly. On May 9th, he’s hosting a practice pull at Cotswold Airport, near Cirencester, welcoming sponsors, and the public to witness his preparation firsthand. Attendees can even join in the action themselves, lending their support to this incredible cause.

Speaking about the overwhelming support he’s received, Mike expresses gratitude to his network and sponsors, whose backing has transformed his modest pledge into a formidable fundraising effort. With their continued support, he remains committed to his mission to surpass his target.

Originally set for Cotswold Airport in 2023, the Guinness World Record challenge faced a venue setback due to stringent criteria. Now, the stage is set at RAF Locking, near Weston-Super-Mare, a poignant location tied to Mike’s family history. August marks the likely date for this monumental event.

As he fine-tunes his preparations, Mike extends an invitation to potential sponsors and donors, offering the opportunity to have their logos emblazoned on the Fiat Doblo, generously provided by Scarrotts Van & Minibus Centre. It’s a collective effort, with local businesses rallying behind Mike’s cause.
