Police are understood to be investigating shocking video footage appearing to show a brutal attack on a Swindon teenager by a number of schoolboys .
The after school attack – in which one lad is seen knocking another to the floor and then punching him in the head several times before others join in kicking and punching the youth – has been circulating on video sharing platform Snapchat since Friday afternoon.
It is understood the 16-year old was cycling past another fight between two youths before being ordered off his bike by a gang before being attacked.
In the video a girl is heard screaming ‘Damien, what the f*** are you doing?’
It is not yet clear if Damien is one of the attackers.
The father of the teen attacked said his son was left with several marks to his head and body and had his injuries checked out at Great Western Hospital also heaping praise on the parents who stepped in to stop the attack.
‘The amount of people stood there watching is terrible and it made me angry. I just want to pass my thanks on to the mums who stepped in to put a stop to it all.’
Wiltshire Police were already at the school dealing with another incident and have taken statements from the children in the area of the attack which took place outside Lydiard Park Academy on Friday, March 23rd around 3:45pm.
