In response to the prevailing cost of living challenges sweeping the nation, British Gas is taking a proactive step to support its customers during the festive season.
Recognising the heightened concerns around electricity usage on Christmas Day, British Gas has announced a special offer of half-price electricity for eligible customers.
This exclusive initiative is part of British Gas’ PeakSave reward scheme, aiming to provide relief to households facing the strain of holiday expenditures. The half-price electricity offer actually extends beyond Christmas Day, including every upcoming Sunday from 11 am until 4 pm.
Customers will continue using electricity as usual, with smart meters tracking consumption. British Gas will then credit the customer’s account with half of the total expenditure incurred on the specified day.
To be able to take part in this generous offer on Sundays and Christmas Day, certain criteria must be met. Customers should be British Gas electricity subscribers, possess a smart meter, and make payments either through Direct Debit or upon receiving their bill.
For those who may not meet the eligibility criteria, such as prepay customers and those without smart meters, there are still ways to take advantage of the offering from British Gas by registering your interest in PeakSave online. British Gas will then be in touch.
British Gas electricity customers can benefit from half-price electricity on both Christmas Day and all Sundays until the end of February. Customers enrolled in the PeakSave scheme will automatically enjoy these advantages, eliminating the need for additional sign-ups.
