The UK has less than three weeks left as an informal member of the EU with the Brexit transition period coming to an end on December 31st.
After last ditch talks to try and agree a deal with the EU, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said “It’s looking very, very likely we’ll have to go for a solution that I think will be wonderful for the UK, we’ll be able to do exactly what we want from January 1,
“It will obviously be different from what we set out to achieve,
“If there’s a big offer, a big change in what they’re saying then I must say that I’m yet to see it,”
European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen is also reported to have told EU leaders that “The probability of a no deal is higher than of a deal.”
Negotiators will be working all weekend to try and strike a deal over fishing rights and the Northern Ireland border issues in the hope an agreement can be made.
