Armed police were called to a property in Cheney Manor Road earlier today after a report that a firearm had been spotted on the front seat of a parked van.
Armed officers were called to attend with worried members of public calling The Swindonian to find out what was going on.
Following enquiries police established that the gun in question was actually a toy.
