The team at Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Swindon celebrated three successful years in the town with a variety of activities that highlighted the company’s diversity and inclusivity.
Coinciding with both Halloween and Diwali, the festivities brought a sense of community and fun to the site as the team prepared for Amazon’s busiest season – the holiday peak.

The celebrations included pumpkin carving and movie days for children during October’s half-term break, as well as Diwali-themed events featuring sweet treats and live music. These activities set the tone for an energetic and united push through the busiest time of the year.
David Tindal, General Manager at Amazon in Swindon, said: “We’ve had a fantastic three years in Swindon, and it felt right to celebrate this milestone with our team. It was a great way to thank everyone for their hard work and to recognise the diversity within our workforce. These events helped bring us closer together as we prepare to end the year on a high note. It’s an honour to work with such a dedicated team, and I look forward to many more anniversaries to come.”
Elena Gincu, a team member at the Swindon site, added: “It was wonderful to celebrate this milestone with my colleagues. The activities allowed us to explore and enjoy each other’s cultures, which really reflects the diverse environment here. It’s a reminder of why Amazon in Swindon is such a great place to work.”
The celebrations served as a reminder of Amazon’s commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive workplace while keeping spirits high as the team moves into the holiday season.
