Lucy Maull, a 37-year-old resident of Inverary Road, Wroughton, has pleaded guilty to a series of charges stemming from an incident at Wroughton Junior School yesterday morning.
The arrest of Maull took place at Wroughton Junior School after concerns were raised by staff at nearby Ridgeway Secondary School regarding her presence on the school premises and her alarming behavior.
Today, Maull appeared before Swindon Magistrates and pleaded guilty to the following charges:
- Possession of an article with a blade on school grounds
- Possession of an offensive weapon on school grounds
- Two counts of common assault of an emergency worker
- Criminal damage to property valued under £5,000
- Use of threatening, abusive words or behavior with the intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence.
Inspector Joe Senior commented, stating, “This incident was deeply concerning for all parties involved. Fortunately, Maull was swiftly apprehended, and no harm came to any children or staff members.”
He further added, “The school staff responded calmly and professionally, following established procedures to ensure the safety of those under their care.”
Maull has now admitted to a range of charges and has been remanded in custody pending sentencing.
Lucy Maull remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before Swindon Crown Court on 25th August.
