30 Days Wild: Join the UK’s Creative Nature Challenge Celebrating Its Tenth Year this June

Can you do one wild thing every day for a month?

Prepare to unleash your inner explorer this June as The Wildlife Trusts’ renowned annual event, 30 Days Wild, marks a significant milestone – its tenth anniversary.

What began as a modest venture with 12,000 participants in its first year, 30 Days Wild has burgeoned into a nationwide success, with over half a million taking part last year alone.

Your Holiday Starts Now

30 Days Wild calls on individuals of all ages and abilities to embrace the beauty of nature in their daily lives.

The initiative, championed by The Wildlife Trusts and supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, encourages participants to engage in a wild activity every day throughout June. From the simple pleasures of birdwatching to the tranquil art of forest bathing, the possibilities are as boundless as nature itself.

This year, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust joins the celebration by offering complimentary herb seeds and an inspirational guide to all who pledge to embark on this wild journey. Kirstine Bowen, Marketing and Communications Manager for Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, invites everyone to seize the opportunity to revel in the great outdoors, whether through pond dipping, wildlife photography, or exploring the Trust’s diverse nature reserves.

Renowned wildlife presenter and The Wildlife Trusts’ ambassador, Iolo Williams, says: “Embrace the outdoors with The Wildlife Trusts’ 30 Days Wild challenge! Imagine a month dedicated to exploring the wonders of nature, from the majestic red kites soaring above to the humble bees buzzing in our gardens. Let’s make every day an adventure, be it birdwatching or planting wildflowers to support our native wildlife. This June, step outside, breathe in the fresh air, and go WILD!”

Research has consistently highlighted the positive impact of nature on well-being. A study found a significant increase in people’s health, happiness, and connection to nature through participating in 30 Days Wild. People reported feeling more relaxed, reduced stress levels, and a greater motivation to protect wildlife which lasted long after the campaign ended.
