Theatre for all the family at the Shoebox

Open Attic Theatre Company will be bringing their family-friendly puppetry show ‘Much ado about Puffin’ to the Shoebox Theatre on Saturday the 14th of October. Using skilful puppetry, beautiful music, and good old-fashioned storytelling, ‘Much ado about Puffin’ tells the story of a man who would rather live on his own on a small island, and what happens when he meets a friendly Puffin. It’s a tale about old habits, new friendships, and stepping out into the unknown.

The show, which is suitable for ages 4+, is part of the Shoebox Theatre’s professional programme, which is attracting touring companies from all over the country. “We are delighted to be able to welcome companies such as Open Attic to the Shoebox as it means we can offer smaller-scale professional theatre to audiences of Swindon, without them having to travel to theatres in Bristol, Bath or further afield!” said Luke Marquez, Artistic Director of the Shoebox.

“This is a really exciting time for the Shoebox and as our programme grows we hope to be attracting audiences of all ages to the venue. ‘Much ado about Puffin’ is the first show of the season that has been specifically created for families and we hope it will be the first of many!”
