Swindon Cinema Welcomes CBeebies Panto Cinderella

Swindon families can get into the festive spirit as the CBeebies panto Cinderella hits the big screen at Vue from Friday 21 November. The latest adaptation, featuring Evie Pickerill, Rhys Stephenson, Justin Fletcher and Jennie Dale, was filmed in Bradford as part of the BBC’s City of Culture partnership.

This year’s screening marks the eighth CBeebies pantomime to receive a cinema release since 2018, continuing a now established festive tradition. Packed with singing, dancing and comedy, the show is designed to entertain audiences of all ages, with a special song created exclusively for the big screen.

The story follows Cinderella as she prepares for Prince Brad’s dazzling Mirror Ball. With the help of her loyal friend Buttons, Cinderella explores crafting, cooking and even sporting challenges, all while attempting to outwit the overzealous Darcy Dribble. Just when hope seems lost, a trip to the local corner shop brings a magical surprise: her fairy godparents, ready with a pumpkin carriage, a sparkling party dress and a golden microphone to make her dreams come true.

We’re delighted to be working with the BBC again this year to bring the annual panto delights to audiences, allowing families and friends to see it on the big screen together.”

Lesley Bailey, Head of Franchise Brands for BBC Content, added: “The CBeebies Panto introduces preschoolers to their first ever panto and cinema experience, bringing families together to enjoy beautiful storytelling, slapstick comedy and singalong moments from their favourite performers, all wrapped up in CBeebies’ bow.”
