Six the Musical Returns to Rule Swindon Once Again

History is about to get loud – and we are here for it.

Following a run of spectacular sell-out shows, Six: The Musical is set to make its much-anticipated return to the Wyvern Theatre in 2026, and there’s no doubt it will once again reign supreme in the town’s cultural calendar.

For those who somehow missed the buzz the first time around, Six isn’t your average history lesson. Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the show retells the stories of Henry VIII’s six wives – but not as you remember them from school. This is a sharp, sassy, 75-minute pop concert where each queen grabs the mic and takes centre stage, reclaiming her narrative with blistering confidence, humour, and attitude.

The musical has taken the world by storm, with critically acclaimed runs on Broadway, the West End, and international tours. Its blend of catchy anthems, clever lyrics, and bold performances have struck a chord with audiences of all ages – and Swindon has proven no exception.

Back in the Wyvern by overwhelming demand, the 2026 run of Six is expected to sell out fast. The show’s previous visits left audiences singing, dancing, and raving long after the final bow. It’s more than just a musical – it’s a moment.

Featuring a powerhouse all-female cast and a live on-stage band, Six is not just entertainment – it’s a celebration. Fierce, funny, and fantastically performed, it continues to shake up the traditional theatre scene with its fresh and unapologetic take on the Tudor tale.
