Fans of musical theatre are in for a treat as the all-new Sing-Along Cinema brings the hit film Wicked to the Wyvern Theatre for two special screenings on 29th and 30th August 2025. This unique event gives audiences the chance to belt out their favourite songs from the movie in a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
Sing-Along Cinema is the latest project from Simon Gordon and Daniel Wood of Kinda Dusty Ltd, offering musical fans the rare opportunity to sing along with iconic movie musicals in theatres and concert halls across the UK. The tour kicks off in April 2025 and will visit venues during weekends and school holidays, with Swindon lucky enough to host two of these exciting dates during the summer break.
Audiences will receive an exclusive Sing-Along gift bag and are encouraged to join in as the film plays on the big screen, creating an electric atmosphere where fans can celebrate their love for the music together. It promises to be a truly magical and interactive experience.
The film Wicked is a reimagining of The Wizard of Oz from the perspective of Elphaba and Glinda, revealing the untold story of how they became the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the star-studded cast includes Grammy® winners Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, Oscar® winner Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, and Tony-nominee Ethan Slater.
