The “Saw” horror film series has emerged as one of the most successful horror franchises of the 21st century and fans only have just over twelve months to wait for the tenth film in the series to be released.
Kevin Greutert, who directed “Saw IV” and “Saw: The Final Chapter,” returns to direct the latest Twisted Pictures production which has not yet been titled and is to be released by Lionsgate on October 27th, 2023.
Producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules are keeping the plot under wraps but promise plenty of bloody and ingenious traps and a new mystery to solve.
“We have been listening to what the fans have been asking for and are hard at work planning a movie that ‘Saw’ aficionados and horror fans alike will love,” Burg and Koules said in a joint statement.
“Part of that is giving the reins to Kevin Greutert, director of ‘Saw VI,’ which is still one of the fans’ favorites in the entire series. More details will be revealed soon.”
The Saw movies, the first of which was released in 2004, has grossed healthy box office receipts. The second film, which starred Donnie Wahlberg, was the most lucrative installment, grossing over $147 million worldwide.
