Poetry in the Sitting Room, which you may have guessed from the title is a regular poetry gathering run by Poetry Swindon and takes place in the wonderful surroundings of The Richard Jefferies Museum.
Hosted by Sam Loveless and Hilda Sheehan it is open to avid fans and seasoned literati alike, those taking their first steps and regular performers. It is the perfect place to begin if you have an interest in poetry and are looking to explore the medium further.
Bring a favourite poem, or a poem or two you have written to share with a friendly and supportive audience, listen to others perform, swap tips and talk prose and poetry with like-minded people.
