Paul McCaffrey heads out on UK tour with new show What A Time To Be Alive

Stand-up favourite Paul McCaffrey has announced a brand-new UK tour for 2026 – and he’s bringing his latest show What A Time To Be Alive to towns and cities across the country.

The Rolling Stone recently hailed McCaffrey as “a GOAT tier stand-up who just gets better and better,” and his new material promises more of the sharp, relatable humour that has made him one of the most in-demand comedians on the circuit.

From Stourbridge to Bristol – with stops in Swindon, Bath, Leeds, London, and more – Paul will take audiences through the absurdities of modern life, middle age and beyond. With the world seemingly on fire and his own body showing signs of wear and tear, Paul’s latest reflections on customer service hell, parenting in your 50s, and the nostalgia of a simpler childhood hit home with audiences of all ages.

Paul said:

“I’m from a different era and preferred it. My childhood now feels like an episode of How We Used To Live – back when the only things being delivered were milk and newspapers, not vapes on Uber Eats from a shop down the road. At 50, I’ve accepted I’ll never be a rock star, but I did get to perform stand-up before one of my favourite bands… come along and hear how that went!”

Best known for appearances on Live at the Apollo, Impractical Jokers and Russell Howard’s Good News, Paul has also supported the late Sean Lock and Kevin Bridges on tour. Away from the stage, he co-hosts the hit podcasts What’s Upset You Now? with Seann Walsh and Gladrags with Rachel Fairburn.

What A Time To Be Alive kicks off in spring 2026. Tickets are expected to move quickly, following his previous sold-out runs.
