The Summer Youth Project takes place at the Wyvern Theatre each year and aims to give two hundred 9-21 year olds the opportunity to work in a professional theatre.
The two week project runs from Sunday 13th August through to the 26th with participants completing five full-scale musical performances under the supervision of a professional Director, Choreographer, Musical Director, Musicians and Technical team.
The project started back in 1994 with Bugsy Malone and was one of the first community ventures of its kind in the local area.
This year’s Summer Youth Project production will be Summer Holiday with auditions taking place next Sunday 7th May at the Phoenix Theatre, New College, Swindon SN3 1AH with registration starting at 9.30am.
