Comedian Nish Kumar, known for his hosting stints on The Mash Report and Pod Save the UK, is embarking on a thrilling new adventure with his latest live tour, “Nish, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” this September.
This eagerly anticipated tour will kick off at London’s Hackney Empire on the 7th of September before making its way to Swindon just a few weeks later.
In a year marked by political tumult, Nish Kumar stands out as a voice that fearlessly tackles pressing issues. Renowned as one of The Guardian and The Telegraph’s 50 Best Comedians of the 21st Century, Kumar promises to address themes ranging from climate collapse to income inequality. Additionally, he offers a unique perspective on the experience of being a British Indian man navigating the complexities of identity and politics.
Reflecting on his upcoming tour, Kumar remarked, “As the world collapses around us, I look forward to dragging my increasingly decrepit body out on tour and doing the only thing that still makes sense to me – stand-up comedy.”
His solo stand-up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival have earned rave reviews, with two nominations for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show. His previous tour, “Your Power, Your Control,” played to sold-out audiences nationwide and was lauded by critics upon its debut in 2022, later released as a special on Sky Comedy in 2023.
Beyond stand-up, Kumar has made waves as the host of popular television and radio shows, including The Mash Report, Late Night Mash, and the Pod Save The UK podcast. His versatility extends to appearances on shows such as Taskmaster, Live At The Apollo, and QI, showcasing his comedic prowess across various platforms.
Nish Kumar will be gracing the Wyvern Theatre on the 25th of September 2024, promising an evening of laughter and insight that’s not to be missed.
Tickets are available now and can be bought online at the Wyvern website.
