National Youth Theatre Unveils Free Community Auditions Across the UK in 2024

The National Youth Theatre (NYT) has exciting news for aspiring young talents across the UK with the announcement of free community auditions taking place in various cities this year.

This remarkable opportunity is open to all young individuals aged 14-25, including disabled youth up to the age of 30.

The auditions aim to provide a relaxed environment for participants to experience the NYT community, explore suitable courses, and connect with like-minded creatives.

Kickstarting the auditions, London sessions will be held at the National Youth Theatre’s home in Holloway on 6th & 7th Jan and 3rd & 4th Feb. Former London members, including Rosamund Pike, Rafe Spall, Joe Cole, Zawe Ashton, Paapa Essiedu, Shiv Jalota, and William Gao, have flourished in their careers. NYT Patron Daniel Craig expressed, “I literally owe my career to the National Youth Theatre.”

Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol, Newcastle, and Manchester Auditions:

  • Glasgow: 4 February at The Brian Cox Studio at The Boardwalk.
  • Birmingham: 10 February at Birmingham BOA Stage and Screen Academy.
  • Bristol: 18 February at 1532 Performance Arts Centre.
  • Newcastle: 18 February at Northern Stage.
  • Manchester: 24 February & 2 March at Contact Theatre.
