Swindon is in for a night of gritty tales, witty observations and laid-back vibes as Huey Morgan, the unmistakable voice behind the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, rolls into town as part of his Fun Lovin’ Criminal spoken word tour. The one-night-only stop takes place at Swindon Arts Centre on Wednesday, 5th March 2026.
Following a well-received run in autumn 2024, Huey’s extending his tour by 39 new dates across England and Wales, giving fans another chance to catch the charismatic New Yorker in a stripped-back and up-close format.
Huey, best known as the frontman of the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, has long been a figure who defies simple labels. Part rock star, part broadcaster, part author, and part straight-talking philosopher, Morgan rose to prominence with the band’s genre-bending mix of hip-hop, rock and funk. The group sold over 10 million records, with hits like Scooby Snacks and Love Unlimited becoming staples of the late ’90s.
Since stepping away from the band in 2021, Huey has carved out a steady presence on the airwaves. The Huey Show on BBC Radio 6 Music has become essential weekend listening, with Morgan guiding listeners through an eclectic blend of soul, punk, funk, and forgotten classics – always with his unmistakable New York drawl and no-nonsense style.
Now, he’s taking that energy on the road once again. Part Q&A, part monologue, and peppered with tracks from his personal collection, Huey Morgan: The Fun Lovin’ Criminal is a night where nothing’s off limits. Expect backstage stories from the music industry, reflections on fame, mischief, and the path that led a kid from the Bronx to stages and studios around the world.
