Highworth’s beloved WrdeUp Festival returned for its 11th year this weekend, once again pulling in music fans from near and far for two days of cracking live performances, family fun, and a truly unbeatable atmosphere.
After a great start to proceedings on Friday evening with high-energy sets from Jordan Marvell, The In-Here Brothers, and Rave Against the Regime, Saturday continued to amaze. Chelsea Millard kicked things off in style, followed by electrifying performances from Double Helix and a heart-warming set from the Westrop School Choir, who delighted the crowd with their enthusiasm.
As the afternoon rolled on, The Olivia Rodrigo Experience Tribute Act had everyone on their feet and singing along, while The Marley Experience – the night’s headline act – wrapped things up perfectly, with many saying it was the best performance they’d seen at WrdeUp yet.
Rob, a local from Highworth, shared:
“It’s brilliant seeing so many people come together for the music. WrdeUp makes Highworth feel alive, and it’s great to have something like this right on our doorstep.”
Terry, who travelled from Swindon especially for the event, added:
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world. The vibe is ALWAYS fantastic, and The Marley Experience was worth every second of the journey.”
Adding to the event’s success was the hands-on approach of the festival organiser, who was seen actively ensuring the bar queue was kept to a minimum, the site remained litter-free, and bins were emptied promptly throughout the day – fair play!
The Fandangos team once again showed why WrdeUp has become a fixture on Highworth’s calendar, delivering an event bursting with community spirit, brilliant entertainment, and something for all ages.
