Highworth is gearing up for a weekend of celebration as the much-loved ‘Wrde Up!’ festival returns, promising two days of live music, delicious local food, and family fun. Organisers are encouraging residents and visitors alike to snap up their tickets while they still can, as excitement builds across the town.
The festivities begin this evening at 6.45pm with Jordan Marvell opening the show, followed by The In Here Brothers taking to the stage at 8pm. The night will culminate in a lively throwback with 90s-themed performances from Rave Against the Regime, ensuring a nostalgic start to the weekend.
Saturday’s line-up promises something for everyone, with Chelsea Millard performing at 1.30pm, Double Helix bringing their sound at 2.10pm, and the Westrop School Choir delighting crowds at 2.40pm. The day will continue with a tribute to Olivia Rodrigo at 4.30pm, before The Marley Experience wraps up the festival with their set at 8.40pm.
Jordan Sainsbury, one of the organisers behind WRDE UP!, expressed gratitude to the local community, saying: “The event’s been great over the last few years since we’ve changed the name. It has brought out a lot more people in the community.”
He also confirmed that, in keeping with recent tradition, profits from the two-day festival will be reinvested into the local community, ensuring the event benefits residents long after the final note is played.
