Peter is returning to the stage after a break from the treading the boards to focus on writing the plays rather than performing in them. He trained at Arts Ed and is known for acting and directing many productions in Swindon and further afield. His first play, ‘Choice’, has been performed in Swindon, London and Bristol, while his second piece, #theorder completed a nationwide tour in 2014 and is due to be adapted for film later this year.

Becci is a multi-talented performer with skills ranging from the operatic to the thespian. She has been performing locally for years and will be well recognised by those who follow professional arts in Swindon. Most recently she played her namesake in the critically acclaimed ‘Four Sunsets’ at Swindon Arts Centre in September 2016.

Pete’s writing is influenced by current events that audiences relate to and his style is bold, powerful and raw.

“Having the audience in hysterics one minute and tears the next, local writer Peter Hynds had the crowd eating out of the palm of his actresses’ hands, in an astounding new play.”

“We were all so mesmerised that when the play finally came to an end, it was one of those moments where you let out a breath (not realising you were holding on to it) and say “wow”.”– Kelly Jobanputra Swindon Advertiser 2016.

TS Theatre Production was formed in 2011 with one rule: If you have a good idea then pick it up and run with it as quickly as possible. TS performed ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in 2012 at the invitation of the RSC and in the same year sold out Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre with ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’.

“TS perform uncompromising theatre for modern times, relishing challenging themselves as much as the audience. Go and see whatever they come up with next. It may creep you out or shock you. But it will also make you think. And that is good art.”- Gig Monkey 2014.

Evergreen, featuring Peter Hynds and Becci Smith, will be at the Shoebox Theatre, Theatre Square on Saturday 26th November. The play is 18+ due to strong language and sexual references and tickets are £10.00
