Deconstructing Reconstruction: Inside the Processes of an Archaeological Reconstruction Artist

Reconstruction artist and archaeological illustrator Jennie Anderson is coming to Swindon Museum and Art Gallery as part of the Friends’ programme of events.

This lively talk brings together fine art and archaeology, as Jennie describes the processes of creating reconstruction illustrations, and explains some of the more philosophical issues that must be faced in order to create a successful vision of the past.

Recent Wiltshire-based projects have included landscape reconstruction of Bowood Park in the 18th Century and Liddington Camp in the late Iron Age.
