Newbury’s Corn Exchange is gearing up for a thrilling spring season in 2025, offering a captivating mix of performances across theatre, comedy, music, and family-friendly shows. From beloved classic tales brought to life on stage to high-energy musical tributes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The music programme kicks off on 31st January with Re-Take That, a heartfelt tribute celebrating the music of one of Britain’s favourite bands. This is swiftly followed by Rave On (1st February), which pays homage to the rise of rock and roll, and continues with shows such as Walk Right Back: The Everly Brothers Story (13th February) and The Bon Jovi Experience (1st March). Also on offer is TRASH! (5th March) by Yllana Theatre & Tötem Company, which features instruments made entirely from recycled materials, while local talents come together for Newbury Sounds: A Fundraising Concert for the Old Library on 14th March.
Fans of soulful classics won’t want to miss George Benson: Give Me the Night (6th March), The Overtones: Up Close and Personal (20th March), and the nostalgic sounds of Just My Imagination: The Music of The Temptations (25th April). Drag queens will bring a burst of energy with Queenz: Drag Me to the Disco! on 22nd March, while The Cavern Beatles (3rd April) take audiences on a magical musical tour through the works of The Beatles.
Comedy lovers are well catered for, with the likes of Carl Hutchinson (30th January) and Shaparak Khorsandi (28th February), who offers a humorous yet honest look at life with ADHD. The Comedy Network showcases fresh comedic talent, while Knightmare Live’s 10th Anniversary Tour (15th February) brings a dose of nostalgic hilarity. Satirical comedy returns with Marcus Brigstocke’s Vitruvian Mango (8th April), and Daniel O’Reilly’s Out of Character (15th March) promises laughs mixed with reflection on addiction and fatherhood.
In theatre, Last Rites (4th & 5th February) will offer a touching non-verbal journey through a Deaf man’s memories, while Dracula (11th & 12th March) blends Gothic literature with modern theatrical flair. Families can join the fun with LASTheatre’s The Littlest Yak (2nd February) and Four Seasons (21st – 23rd February). Children’s favourites like The Gruffalo (7th – 9th March) and Room on the Broom (10th – 13th April) also return.
