Comedian Angela Barnes to Tackle Life’s “Angst” in New 2025 Tour

British comedian Angela Barnes is returning to stages across the country in 2025 with her latest show, Angst.

Known for her down-to-earth wit and insightful humour, Barnes will take audiences through tales of triumphs, missteps, and plenty of well-placed jokes about life’s anxieties. Tickets for the tour, which start at Swindon’s Art Centre on Thursday, 13 February 2025 are now available.

Barnes has carved a unique path in comedy since stepping away from her previous career in health and social care to pursue stand-up in 2010. Within a few years, she won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2011, quickly becoming a regular on shows like Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo. Angst promises to delve into her well-known anxieties, spinning them into laughter-filled reflections on both minor mishaps and more significant challenges. Known for her self-deprecating humour, Barnes reassures audiences that there’s no need for them to worry; she’s got enough worry to cover it all.

In addition to her success on television, Barnes is a staple on BBC Radio 4, frequently appearing on The News Quiz—a show she has even hosted. Alongside her stand-up, she co-hosts the podcast We Are History with John O’Farrell, where the pair discuss quirky events from history with an irreverent twist.

Reflecting on her upcoming tour, Barnes said, “I’m excited to be back on the road—anxious, of course, but I think I’ve remembered to pack the essentials this time, jokes included!”

Angst is set to bring Barnes’ signature mix of observational comedy and personal anecdotes, promising a night of relatable humour for anyone who has ever found themselves worrying over life’s oddities. Tickets are available online now.
