With just six weeks to go until the Big Feastival returns to the rolling fields of Kingham, organisers have dished out an extra helping of flavour, nostalgia and family-friendly fun for 2025 – and it’s shaping up to be a long weekend to remember.
Running from 22nd to 24th August across the August bank holiday, the popular Cotswolds celebration of music, food and family is back with a bold and brilliant line-up – including the world premiere of Alex James’ Britpop Classical.
This show-stopping finale promises to reimagine some of the biggest tracks from the ’90s Britpop era with a full orchestra and a host of special guests. Actor and Parklife narrator Phil Daniels joins Blur’s Alex James on stage, alongside Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Reef’s Gary Stringer, and Travis legends Fran Healy and Dougie Payne. Together, they’ll take on hits like Supergrass’ Alright, Blur’s Girls & Boys, T. Rex’s Get It On and The Verve’s Bittersweet Symphony, all with orchestral flair and festival energy.
Away from the main stage, the weekend’s presenters are familiar and fun. Edith Bowman, Capital’s Kemi Rodgers and Chris Stark will be keeping the crowd buzzing, while over in the ever-popular Cheese Hub, DJ sets from Simon Pegg, James Buckley and Radio 1’s Charlie Hedges will keep the vibe going well into the night.
The music isn’t the only thing drawing the crowds. The Big Kitchen line-up has now been confirmed, with culinary heavyweights Raymond Blanc, Simon Rimmer and Si King (of Hairy Bikers fame) delivering live cooking demos across the weekend.
For those seeking a more refined foodie experience, the Fire Pit Feasts and Lazy Lunches by Ben Quinn promise four courses of locally sourced indulgence, while this year’s new BBQ Cook School and Prept’s Little Cooks sessions mean both grown-ups and children can get stuck in.
Younger visitors will be spoilt for choice, with the return of the colourful Big Top, the world’s biggest bouncy castle, and live performances from favourites like MC Grammar, Evie Pickerill and Justin Fletcher. And for anyone in need of a break from the crowds, the newly expanded Woodland Spa offers wood-fired hot tubs, saunas and a cold plunge pool – ideal for weary festivalgoers needing a moment to unwind.
For those looking to level up the experience, VIP upgrades are also now available. These include access to the Main Arena’s VIP Lounge – complete with a welcome drink, private bar, gourmet food from Gaucho, and comfortable seating with premium views.
