Swindon Borough Council has announced that hundreds of thousands of pounds will be invested in Upham Road this summer as part of vital improvement works.

The work will consist of full and partial reconstruction of the road between Drove Road and Brixham Avenue. Once complete, the road will last for the next 40 years and should stop the continual need for patch repairs on the current poor road surface.

A drop-in event with further details of the scheme will be held at Immanuel Church, Parlour Room, on Thursday, 17th May between 3.30pm and 7.30pm.

  1. Don’t hold your breath we have been waiting for 15 years for this to happen and we will have to assess the impact and final result before passing on the success or otherwise keep an open mind
