Swindon Pickleball is celebrating a hugely successful end to the year as its newly launched Christmas Festival sells out, drawing players from across the country to the Delta Tennis Centre between Christmas and New Year.
Following the popularity of the End of Summer Festival and strong demand for more events, the two-day Christmas Festival was introduced to keep the pickleball community active over the festive period.

The response exceeded expectations, with entries now closed after 152 individual players registered for the weekend. Each day will see 100 players taking to the courts, ensuring a packed schedule, lively competition and plenty of festive spirit despite the winter timing.
The scale of the event is further highlighted by representation from 50 different pickleball clubs, an impressive figure at any point in the calendar, let alone during the Christmas break. The wide spread of clubs underlines both the growth of the sport and the increasing reputation of Swindon Pickleball as a destination for well-run, welcoming events.
A new social element has also been introduced for this and all future festivals, with an organised Saturday evening dinner now forming part of the experience. This weekend, 42 players will be heading to local restaurant Siam Thai for a relaxed buffet meal, adding a sociable, community-focused dimension away from the courts.
Event organiser Shaun Jones says the festival reflects everything Swindon Pickleball is aiming to achieve.
“To have over 150 players signed up, with representation from 50 different clubs at this time of year, is absolutely fantastic,” said Shaun Jones.
“Pickleball is all about community as much as competition, and adding the Saturday night dinner really brings that to life. It’s great food, great company and a brilliant way to keep the festival atmosphere going.”
With the Christmas Festival now fully booked, planning is already well underway for the next major event. The Spring 2026 Festival has been confirmed for Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March 2026, with entries already open and early interest proving strong.
Swindon Pickleball would like to wish players, clubs and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a pickleball-filled New Year, with more exciting events lined up for 2026.
