Swindon Pickleball is opening its doors to newcomers this weekend with a free taster session at Delta Tennis Centre in West Swindon.
The session will run on Sunday from 10am until 12pm, offering anyone curious about the sport a chance to step onto the court and give pickleball a go.
There is no registration required. Visitors can simply turn up on the day, pick up a paddle, and enjoy a friendly introduction to a sport that continues to attract players of all ages across the country.
All equipment will be provided, and English Pickleball-qualified leaders will be on hand throughout the morning to guide beginners through the basics of the UK’s fastest-growing sport.
A spokesperson for the club explained that events like this are vital in making pickleball accessible to the wider community, especially as Swindon continues to see rising demand for court time.
Shaun of Swindon Pickleball added: “The club is incredibly grateful to Delta Tennis Centre for allowing us to host this taster session.
“Our Monday socials have reached full capacity, now using 12 courts with around 60 players each week, so we are looking to expand further in the New Year. This session is a brilliant chance for new players to get involved and feel the buzz around pickleball in Swindon.”
With interest at an all-time high, the club hopes the session will encourage more local residents to take up the sport, meet new people, and enjoy a welcoming community that continues to grow.
