Swindon Man Charged With Aggravated Burglary and Multiple Offences

A Swindon man has been charged with several offences following an aggravated burglary reported in the east of the town.

According to Wiltshire Police, Ashton Cobb, 23, of the Islandsmead area in Eldene, was arrested after the incident which took place on 28 February.

He has been charged with aggravated burglary along with a number of additional offences, including possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear, sending communications threatening death or serious harm, making threats to kill, threatening a person with a bladed article and criminal damage.

Police confirmed he has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 9th March).

No further details about the incident have been released at this stage.

Wiltshire Police said the charges relate to an investigation into the reported burglary in east Swindon.
