Swindon aim to take another big step towards booking their place in the Premiership Supporters’ Cup Final when they head to Ipswich on tomorrow (7.30).
Alun Rossiter’s CFS Filtration Robins are in a fine position leading the group and are five-points clear of the Witches.
Rossiter, though, is keeping his feet on the ground ahead of their first trip to Foxhall since 2010 after the Suffolk club gained winter promotion.
“It’s so far so good where we are concerned,” said Rossiter. “I’m pleased with the lads, we’ve already had some good results but we know it willbe a good test at Ipswich.
“Their team is full of riders who know their track well and they are already proving to be a tough time around their place.
“We’ll go there and give it our very best and if we can get any kind of result it enhances our chances of making the final.
“It would be a great achievement for us to make a Cup Final so soon after starting racing on our new track, but there’s work to do yet.”
Swindon head to King’s Lynn next Monday before their next meeting back at the Abbey on Monday May 6 and a Bank Holiday clash with Peterborough inthe Premiership.
