Asda, Aldi, Waitrose, Lidl and Boots have issued urgent product recalls after being advised by Food Standards Agency and Trading Standards that the products in question need to be removed from sale.

Customers who have purchased any of the items below are advised to stop using them straight away and return them to the store of purchase.

Asda Sweet Potato and Red Chilli Soup

The supermarket is recalling soup due to incorrect labelling as the product contains mustard which has not been mentioned on the label.

No other Asda products are known to be affected.

Use by dates: March 2 2019, March 3 2019, March 7 2019, March 9 2019, March 10 2019, March 12 2019, March 13 2019, March 15 2019, March 16 2019, March 17 2019, March 20 2019, March 23 2019 and March 27 2019.

Boots – Shapers – Teriyaki Houmous Chips

The Shapers snack is another product that may contain mustard which has not been correctly mentioned on the label.

Advice for customers is to not consume the product if they have an allergy or intolerance to mustard and return them to their nearest store where they will be entitled to an exchange or refund.

No other products in the Shapers range are affected.

Co-op is recalling five of its soup products as they contain mustard which has not been mentioned on the label.

No other Co-op products are known to be affected and customers can return the products to their point of purchase for a full refund.

Create a Cake Home Bake – Dark Chocolate Chips (sold at Aldi)

A notice on the Aldi website reads: “Our supplier, Food Innovations, has undertaken a recall for the above products due to the presence of milk.”

All batches are affected by the recall and can be returned to the nearest store for a full refund.

Kania – Sea Salt Mill / Black Peppercorn Mill (sold at Lidl)

The budget supermarket has urged customers to stop using the Kania Sea Salt Ceramic Grinders and Kania Black Peppercorns Ceramic Grinders as they may contain small pieces of glass.

All date codes are being recalled.

Any customers who have an allergy to milk should not consume this product and return it to Waitrose for a refund.
