Swindon Borough Council has announced that the major reconstruction of Upham Road is continuing to make progress and the section of road from Drove Road up to Immanuel URC Church is now almost complete.
The final road surface will be laid in one go at the completion of the second phase of work. The team will change over the traffic management, and on Monday (10 Sep), work will start on the section from Holy Road School to Bibury Road. Until designers have inspected the concrete underneath the extent of the repairs will not be fully known.
During the construction access will be maintained to Holy Rood School, and OK4U. Access to Immanuel Church will be maintained where possible, but this will be via the Queens Drive side of Upham Road.
