WhatsApp will soon let users delete messages after they’ve been sent.
A brand new update that is currently being tested will let you edit and delete WhatsApp messages after you’ve sent them.
As long as the recipient hasn’t read them yet, you will be able to press and hold on the message and choose whether to “edit” or “revoke” what you wrote.
The new feature is being trialled in its iPhone beta software, according to the eagle-eyed Whatsapp watchers at @WABetaInfo.
Recipients will simply get a note saying “the sender revoked the message”.
WhatsApp have not, however, confirmed the feature and it is unclear when it will be rolled out.
It’s also said to be trialling live tracking features, so you can send a pin drop and real-time location information in a group message.
