Swindon’s leading estate agent has drawn on the talent of local suppliers and specialists to give its Old Town offices a stunning new look.

Richard James, the town’s leading independent property sales and lettings agent, recently launched the eye-catching pop art-inspired boards and adverts that are now visible across Swindon and beyond.

Now the bold line-drawings of people and refined colour palette of dark blue, grey and gold have been reflected in the newly extended three-storey offices at the top of Old Town’s Victoria Road.

CEO Richard James says that using local suppliers, some of whom are near neighbours of the Old Town office, was extremely important to the company.

“Our business is expanding, we recently acquired local independent agency In House and we were outgrowing our space in Old Town, which we last refurbished ten years ago,” says Richard.

“So while we were extending the building, it seemed the right time to give the entire interior a fresh, brand new look. We wanted something that represents how we work today, and basically the core of our business is about people. Our colleagues work with people to help them realise their dreams and aspirations, rather than simply to rent or buy or sell a property.

“We have just completed a three-storey extension and created room in our Old Town offices for our growing team. There’s an architect’s practice on the top floor so we are able to offer help to builders, developers and landowners looking to understand or maximize the value of their site, and we have brokers to help buyers get the best deals on mortgages. We’ve given the offices a very smart but comfortable vibe, so that colleagues and clients feel truly at home there.”

Richard James has sourced artworks from Oink gallery and lighting from Arc, both on Victoria Road, and the smart furniture was supplied by Neptune, whose head office is in Swindon.

Mark Pepperall, who owns Oink, has provided a selection of artworks from his gallery for the office, and will be changing the selection on a regular basis.

Richard James held a launch party to celebrate the refurbishment, and Wood Street  wine merchant Magnum supplied the bubbly while Jack’s on Victoria Road provided canapes.

“Neighbours can be an important part of people’s lives, and we value our neighbours very highly,” says Richard.

“Swindon is a brilliant town to live and work in, and if we all support each other it will continue to be so.”
