Swindon Natwest, Lloyds Bank and Halifax  customers were among the six million affected by the internet banking issues leaving some customers unable to access cash this bank holiday weekend.

Customers unable to access their money ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend ve been reaching out to their banks customer services with complaints on social media after not being able to reach someone on the long phone queues.

NatWest and the Royal Bank of Scotland customers have complained of problems with both their online banking and mobile banking apps. In some instances money paid into their account has been missing or transfers between accounts have just disappeared.

Lloyds customers have found themselves struggling with a different issue, being locked out of their own accounts and unable to access cash.

An RBS statement online confirms the issue has now been resolved “Our mobile apps and online banking are now running as normal and delayed payments are starting to credit customer accounts. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

Lloyds confirming “We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
