Wiltshire Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify this person so we can speak to them in connection with allegations of identity fraud.
Officers are keen to speak to the person, captured on CCTV in Twickenham Close, Swindon, after several victims from that area reported suspicious activity surrounding their bank and mobile phone accounts.
The victims reported that bank accounts had been opened using their personal information, as well as replacement mobile sim cards and credit cards requested without their consent.
All of the incidents happened between 9 and 19 April.
PC Samantha Kelly, from Swindon North CPT, urged residents to be vigilant with their personal information which could be used in identity thefts, as well as not posting details, like dates of birth, on social media.
“We’d really like to speak to this person, seen in the area around the time of the offences – we believe they are using one, or both, of these cars,” she added.
“We believe personal information used was obtained after post was taken from the victim’s mail box and recycling boxes.
“Please be aware of how fraudsters love easy access to your personal information – ensure your letterbox is secure, shred any confidential mail, don’t post personal information on social media and report any suspicious activity to us.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote crime reference 54190035669.
