A Swindon man has been sentenced after carrying out a month long crime spree by breaking in to cars and stealing wallets and bank cards left in the vehicles.

Kirk Ayres (36) from Ermin Street, Swindon pleaded guilty to 25 offences of using stolen contactless bank cards in shops/supermarkets (fraud by false representation), three offences of theft from motor vehicles and four offences of vehicle interference.

The incidents happened in and around Swindon between 17 July 2018 and 17 August 2018.

At Swindon Magsitrates on Friday (24/08), he was sentenced to eighteen weeks in prison, which was suspended for 12 months, and ordered to comply with a drug rehabilitation treatment course.
