If you are planning on travelling abroad this year and are yet to apply for your new passport you only have ten days left to apply before the price hike.
An adult passport is set to rise from £72.50 to £85 and the for kids the price will increase 27 per-cent from £46 to £58.50.
The new fees, which only apply to postal applications, will come into force on March 27th.
Applicants can still beat the price rise – but only if they apply in the coming weeks.
You can also beat the increase by applying online with prices rising to £75.50 for adults and £49 for under 16s.
If you need to ‘fast-track- your application your new fees will rise by £39 for adults to £142, and to £122 for children under 16.
Good news if you were born before 2nd September 1929, you should be exempt from paying any fee!
